Ingredients:
-1 bottle pure canola or vegetable oil
-2 cans buttermilk biscuits (made 20 donuts)
-2 cups milk
-2 teaspoons vanilla extract
-1/2 cup powdered sugar
Step 1: Start by pouring the whole bottle of oil into a deep pot and let it sit on low heat for a few minutes.
Step 2: Open can of biscuits and lay on cookie sheet with wax paper (this keeps them from sticking).
Step 3: Take the lid from the vanilla extract and push into the center of each biscuit and pull out the center. Set the center aside (these will be mini donut holes).
Step 4: Combine milk, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix until smooth. Set aside.
Step 5: By now the pot of oil should be hot enough for the donuts to fry. Place the biscuits one by one into the pot and let them fry until golden brown on both sides. You will need tongs to flip them over after about a minute. Tip: Only put 3 biscuits in the oil at a time!
Step 6: After donut is golden brown on both sides, use your tongs to remove the donut from the pot and place it in the mixture. Tip: Do not let it sit for too long in the glaze mixture because your donut will become soggy!
Step 7: Remove from glaze mixture and lay on waxed cookie sheet. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Enjoy! Tastes like fair food :)
